Any questions or suggestions?

Hello my lovely followers. There aren’t too many of you yet, but this blog is still young. I just wanted to give you guys the opportunity to ask questions, make comments, offer suggestions, requests, whatever you want. What do you guys like so far? What do you want to see more of? Is there some information you’ve been itching to read that I haven’t posted yet? Let me know!

I’m planning on making this blog a bit more interactive as soon as I get another chunk of followers. I don’t want to just be spitting out information at you guys; I’d also like to have a section where people can submit their own experiences.

So yeah, ask away!!!!

I have to rant.

Dear people who use the phrase ‘abuse’ when referring to someone who occasionally uses drugs,

I would like to direct your attention to multiple dictionary definitions of the word ‘abuse’:

verb (used with object)

1. to use wrongly or improperly; misuse: to abuse one’s authority.

2. to treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way: to abuse a horse; to abuse one’s eyesight.

3. to speak insultingly, harshly, and unjustly to or about; revile; malign.

4. to commit sexual assault upon.

5. Obsolete . to deceive or mislead.

I’m confused as to when I’m doing anything of these things when I’m doing drugs. When I’m smoking a joint I’m pretty sure I’m using marijuana the proper way; I’m not abusing my authority. When I decide to go to Tofino and drop two hits of acid and run around on the beach for six hours, I’m not treating the acid in a harmful or offensive way. I’m doing exactly what I’m suppose to be doing on it. When I decide to pop two hits of Foxy and hang around with a friend in my apartment and talk about the meaning of life, I don’t think I’m speaking harshly or unjustly with the drug. Or when I decide to eat a couple grams of mushrooms and watch a Led Zeppelin concert on repeat for a couple of hours, I don’t think I’m committing sexual assault upon anyone.

So I’m confused on how you feel its right to use the word abuse when someone is occasionally, or even habitually using a recreational drug when they aren’t doing anything abusive with or when they’re on the drug. A drug ‘abuser’ isn’t a recreational drug user. A drug abuser is someone who shoots up so much heroine that they over dose. A drug abuser is someone who decides that paying for their next hit is more important than paying rent. A drug abuser is someone who gets so drunk they come home and beat the shit out of their wife and kids at night.

So please, make sure you have better command over the English language and pick a better word out of your vocabulary when describing someone who is using recreational drugs, and if you can’t think of another word then maybe you should just fuck right off.

Thanks.
